This course is approved for 1 Continuing Education Credit/Hour through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists (AASECT). Participants will receive a CE certificate upon completion of the course.

Our Trans 101 course explains core concepts and current terms, provides practical strategies for how to use language in affirming ways, and some fundamental guidelines for engaging with transgender and non-binary people and navigating related social norms.  This course is a prerequisite to other courses in this sequence, and serves as a foundation for those new to the topic and an updated refresher for those who have more pre-existing knowledge.

ACCESSIBILITY & WHAT TO EXPECT

- This course features a series of video clips recorded in zoom, with the primary visual focus on the slide share / session slides. 


️️- The video clips are generally between 4-8 minutes each.  

- Each section has a comprehension check with unlimited repeats, and you can go back to prior content at any point in the course.


- We do not share our slides, but we do have an excellent summary handout with key information.  

 - Video auto play is turned off.

 - Visual content of slides is narrated/described.

- Captions available -- Currently In Progress


- ASL interpretation embedded -- Pending Funding


 - Work at your own pace. You can come back to this course as often as you like. You have 180 days to complete this course.

-  Once completed, your certificate for this course is valid for 2 years, at which point you will be asked if you would like to complete an updated version.
